“After 8 years together, we moved from Fond du Lac to Oak Creek in 1997. Coming from different traditional backgrounds, finding a church home where we both felt comfortable and welcome would be a challenge. We liked St. James, but they do not perform commitment ceremonies. Next we tried Cross – where ‘we felt instantly welcome’ is an understatement. We celebrated our commitment on October 15, 1999 and the adoption and baptism of our two beautiful daughters who also feel loved at Cross.”
