Food Pantry

What began over 20 years ago as a response to hunger in the 53205 zip code has been growing year after year. Now, with the growing poverty in the community resulting from the loss of good-paying jobs, this ministry is even more critical and necessary. Some of the most important aspects of today’s program include:

• Distributing food to 50-100 people per session twice monthly.
• Diaper/Period Care/Hygiene items also available to attendees.
• Periodic education by a volunteer from FoodWIse at selected sessions.
• Offering spiritual support for those who have lost hope, including a devotion by our pastor each session.

Anyone Is Elegible

• Anyone from the greater Milwaukee area, regardless of ZIP code, is welcome.
• On your first visit, we will ask you for your birthdate, address, and contact information
• On future visits, you should just need to provide your name to be checked in.

ur Food Pantry is generally held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, from 11am – 1:30 pm. However, it may occasionally be postponed or cancelled due to holidays or other events. Please check our calendar to confirm.

Bag lunches may be provided by:

• Our Savior Lutheran Church (Sussex) on 2nd Wednesdays
• Advent Lutheran Church (Cedarburg) on 4th Wednesdays

Hygiene donations are made by Advent Lutheran Church (Cedarburg) and Fathers Making Progress.

Diaper & Hygiene Ministry

Cross, in partnership with the Milwaukee Diaper Mission, is now an resource a variety of hygiene products, as available. These include:

• Baby diapers (sizes Newborn-7T)
• Adult incontinence products
• Period care products (pads and tampons)
• Wet wipes
• Toilet paper, when available
• Soap, deodorant, and other products, when available.

Anyone from the greater Milwaukee area, regardless of ZIP code, is welcome.

When to Come

You can access our hygiene ministry in one of two ways:

• Attend our bi-monthly food pantry during normal operating hours.
• Visit the Church office (through the glass door) during normal office hours (see footer), once per month.

Twice annually, users of the diaper ministry will be asked to fill out an impact statement for our partners at the Milwaukee Diaper Mission.

Donations Are Always Welcome!

Non-Perishable Food Items:

Anything canned (including tuna, ravioli, spaghetti, soups, fruits, and vegetables), peanut butter, jelly, mac & cheese, rice mixes, potato mixes, pastas, and more.

Hygiene Items:

Toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, razors, shaving cream.
