Chuck has been a member of Cross Lutheran Church since 1997. In addition to being the church’s financial secretary, he also sings with and directs CLC’s Praise Choir. For that he composed the song, “God Is My Safety Net.”
Having been at Cross for over twenty years, Chuck has worn many other hats, as well. He has been a Sunday school teacher and member of the Youth Education Committee; from 2001-2003. Chuck was a tutor and the coordinator of Cross’ tutoring program, as well as the teacher of a Spanish course at the church. Together with his longtime partner, Brian, he served as co-editor of the CLC newsletter and was a member of the church’s board of elders. He has been a trustee at Cross and has served as co-chair of the LGBT Ministry Committee. In addition, he has been a member of the Stewardship Committee and is CLC’s current financial secretary. During worship services, Chuck has been a scripture reader, has helped lead worship for Vacation Bible School, and has regularly presented children’s sermons.
Additionally, Chuck holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Inter-Arts with major emphases in Music and Theatre from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Cross is one of three Lutheran churches in Milwaukee for which he has been an administrative assistant. He is also a longtime member of the Greater Milwaukee Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s Reconciling in Christ Ministry Team.
