A current resident of Milwaukee, Nick was born in Milwaukee and raised (mostly) in West Bend WI. Nick attended and graduated Luther college in Decorah, Iowa, with a triple major in psychology, philosophy, and world religious studies. They spent a year working as a naturalist in northern Wisconsin developing care for creation curriculum and helping to care for the forest area around Pine Lake Camp. Nick is now on their third year of Master of Divinity (M. Div.) study at Luther Seminary in Saint Paul, MN.
Nick’s hobbies include reading, writing, playing games (of all sorts), martial arts, and hiking. They are also a certified Reiki instructor and find this extension of their call from God to be an extremely fulfilling activity.
Nick is extremely passionate about God’s unyielding love for, and presence in, all of creation. For this reason, they have made it a life purpose to do whatever they can to stand for their siblings in creation, especially seen in environmental, racial, religious and LGBTQIA+ justice both inside and outside the Church formal. Nick truly believes that God is a God whose nature is love, whose passion is justice, and who works in hope and so makes these three things the center of their life.
