John Horner-Ibler began as our Interim Pastor on April 1, 2026.  John comes to us most recently from an interim position in Sheboygan Falls and prior to that, served as one of the pastors at Unity Lutheran-Brookfield, one of our partner congregations.

John is married to Barbara, who is one of the medical providers at the Bread of Healing Clinic which Cross hosts.  They have two sons, David (lives in Ghana and works on health and agriculture projects) and Michael  (lives in Atlanta and works in public health).  

When not pastoring here at Cross, John helps out with a conservation group, gardens, and writes occasionally for The Word in Season, one of the ELCA devotional books. He and Barb live near West Bend.
