Bread of Healing Clinic (BOHC) is a free medical clinic for the uninsured. BOHC provides:
Hundreds of physicians, nurses, and area medical students assist BOHC, which sees over 3600 patients annually. Through Medshares, BOHC also gathers, sorts, and distributes pharmaceuticals to patients. Founded in 2000 by nurse Rick Cesar, Doctor Barbara Horner-Ibler and Doctor Tom Jackson, BOHC was originally a Cross ministry. Equally important, an independent board operating governs BOHC. They operate out of Cross Lutheran Church and in two other locations.
The BOH Clinic also welcomes so many volunteers from the health care industry. Volunteers include physicians, nurses, pharmacists, residents, and medical students. Also needed are receptionists, computer programmers, and more. We feel everyone has something to offer BOH Clinic.
