Cross Choir

The Cross Choir is open to both youth and adults. The choir sings every Sunday and rehearses most Saturdays. Youth are welcome every week, but are expected to sing at the first Sunday of each month and the Saturday rehearsal immediately prior.

Rehearsals begin most Saturdays promptly at 11:00 am and run until about 12:00. Please arrive early to help with set-up and to get any music that is being shared. Rehearsal tracks and accompaniments for some songs may be found here.

Welcome Table

Let your smiling face be the first thing visitors and members see when they come into church Sunday morning! The Welcome table offers name tags, bulletins, offering envelopes, mints and more. Greeters also ensure that visitors feel both welcome and seen — and know where to find the restrooms when needed.

2nd Lesson Readers and Children’s Sermons

Reminders:

  • Speak clearly, slowly and loudly.
  • If you are reading the lesson, speak into the microphone.
  • If you are doing the Children’s Sermon, use the cordless microphone for yourself and the children.

 Other notes for the Children’s Sermon:

  • Include all children by asking questions and getting their responses, as appropriate. Look for children sitting behind the pulpit.
  • Limit your presentation to 5-10 minutes.
  • DO NOT GIVE SWEETS/CANDY to the children. (They can cause a variety of problems.)
  • Keep the message simple and to the point. You are talking to children.
